This core conversation session will focus on the use of protocols to engage all participants in important conversation about the changing role of Catholic School leaders as spiritual and instructional leaders in the 21st Century.  All are welcome!

I think there are two critical issues facing Catholic School Leaders in current times. The first is the need for preparation of Catholic leaders who first and foremost can serve as spiritual leaders, in partnership with local clergy and the leadership within the school and parish in which they serve. Secondly, there is a push for greater accountability for all school leaders, both public and Catholic/private, to become transformational leaders in relation to first and second order change initiatives, including 21st C curriculum/instruction, organizational change, and building coherence within our schools. Catholic school leaders, like their public school colleagues, are in search of professional opportunities to improve their practice in all of these areas. My hope is that this core conversation can validate the areas of strongest interest and need for our current and future Catholic school leaders.
