Even if you aren’t re-designing your learning spaces with new construction or new furniture, this workshop will take you through a human-centered process of design to develop vision and empathy, and explore how innovative pedagogy drives design that will help any teacher set up purpose-driven learning spaces. You’ll learn how to use a simple, powerful resource to support this process.

In this interactive concurrent session, Richard will share a little about his background and his journey and then invite participants to respond and ask questions that may be raised from his keynote or around his wider experiences in school innovation, change or success.

What’s the relationship between success and well-being for students and teachers? Is well-being a pre-requisite for academic success, or does success lead to well-being? Drawing on Professor Hargreaves’s recent research report and upcoming book, this workshop will engage participants with their own understandings of the relationship between well-being and success and introduce them to examples of how other schools and systems go about making the connection.
