Krimsen Sumners is the superintendent at St. Albert Public Schools, a role she’s been in for the last 5 years. She strongly values her working relationships with education and community partners that she’s developed over the course of her career.
She began her teaching career on the Beaver Lake First Nation, just outside of Lac La Biche, before joining St. Albert Public Schools, where her career steadily progressed over 27 years. She’s experienced everything from teacher, assistant principal and principal, to director of student services, associate superintendent of programs and planning, and deputy superintendent of human resources.
As a resident of St. Albert for over 20 years, she’s an involved member of the community. She sits on the International Children’s Festival board, as well as the City of St. Albert Policing Committee. Outside of her work and volunteer life, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young adult sons at the hoceky rink, on the beach or just "chillin" on the couch!
