Rob Currie brings a wealth of education and community leadership experience to the education sector.  

Utilizing broad experiences in strategic planning, implementing ministry, division and school improvement initiatives that create, grow and sustain effective student learning, Rob has dedicated his energy to ensuring a quality education for children of all backgrounds. He focuses on building effective relationships with education sector partners through varied corporate experiences and insights to enable effective student learning.

Prior to being appointed as the Deputy Minister of Education for Saskatchewan, he was employed at the Regina Catholic School Division for 31 years. In his tenure there, he was the Director of Education from 2008 to 2016 and he also served as a Supervisor of School Operations, a school based administrator, and a classroom teacher at inner city, suburban, rural and French immersion schools.

In addition, in 2011-12 Rob served as President of the League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Superintendents (LEADS), a provincial organization of senior educational administrators.

Rob received his Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration and Post-Graduate Diploma of the University of Regina. He received his Professional Teaching Certificate from the University of Victoria and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina.
